MIL-DTL-17060G(SH)
APPENDIX B
(c)
The hot and cold winding resistance in ohms and rise by resistance in degrees centigrade.
(d) Cold and hot ambient temperatures in degrees centigrade associated with the cold and hot
resistance, respectively.
(2) Performance at rated voltage and frequency including the following at5/4, 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, and 0 load.
(a) Actual load, amperes, watts, r/min, efficiency, power factor, and torque. For motors with seals, if
efficiency at rated load can not be met with seals, then the efficiencies with and without seals shall be shown.
(3) Amperes, volts, r/min, and torque in pound-feet at locked-rotor, pull-up and breakdown. When
locked-rotor current or torque are determined based on measurements at less than rated voltage, the current, torque,
volts and watts shall be shown for each value of test voltage.
(4) Air-gap in inches for sleeve bearing motors only.
(5) Weight of the complete motor and weight and moment of inertia, WR2, of the rotor. Weight should be
indicated in pounds, WR2 in pound-feet2.
(6) Airborne noise and structureborne noise test data.
(7) For motors with special bearing preload requirements (see 3.5.2.5.13), the uncompressed height of the
preload device before and after full compression and the force produced by the preload device when compressed to
the nominal design compression shall be shown on the drawing.
(a)
Table of heat run data containing the following:
hp load, amperes, and loading duration.
1
Temperature measurements, by thermocouple of the ambient air and motor parts listed in
2
table XIV. Measurements in degree centigrade shall be shown for operation 1 hour before shutdown (in case of
short-time duty motors this column need not be completed) while running and after shutdown.
Hot and cold winding resistance in ohms and rise by resistance in degrees centigrade.
3
Cold and hot ambient temperatures in degree centigrade associated with the cold and hot
4
resistance, respectively.
(8) For VSD motors, in addition to the above, the following data is required:
(a) The heat run data shall include test data obtained with a VSD, when required, see 3.5.2.8.2 and
the data obtained with facility power at base speed. The speed at which testing is performed shall be shown.
(b) For constant torque applications, heat run data shall be shown. The speed at which heat run
testing is performed shall be shown.
(c) Airborne noise test data shall indicate that a VSD was used to power the motor during testing.
The motor speed shall also be shown.
(d) Structureborne noise testing data shall include the motor speed during testing.
(e) For VSD motors with accepted EMI performance, the file number and date of the EMI test report
and the serial number and date of the command or agency letter of acceptance shall be shown as a note.
(f)
The partial discharge inception voltage shall be shown.
o. Detail of the identification plate and identification plate data (and other information plate detail and data
where required). Where an identification plate drawing has been submitted to NAVSEA, it will not be necessary to
show a detail of the identification plate on the motor drawing. However, it will be necessary to identify the plate in
the list of material and show the manufacturer's drawing number of the identification plate drawing.
p.
A note identifying bearings by manufacturer, Government type, class, size, and series.
q.
A note identifying the type and class of the applicable Government standard bearing puller.).
r.
Additional insulation data:
(1) The following additional insulation data shall be included on each command drawing or on a separate
insulation drawing. If the data are shown on a separate insulation drawing covering insulation practice for a number
of motors, the insulation drawing can deferred to on each applicable motor drawing subject to the following:
